Bio:

John was raised within the teachings of the church. He was raised a Southern Baptist in a small Southern Ohio town (Coolville). He was an average kid, average student, no trouble with the law, a few pranks/stunts gone wrong (how that tractor ended up in the Henderson’s new pool will go with John to his grave). He eventually “rebelled” against its liberal interpretation of sacraments and lax “high” church. He began the path of Anglican. First attending seminary in Pennsylvania (Trinity School for Ministry) and becoming a deacon of the Epiphany Church in Chicago. He was a highly regarded deacon that become the deacon of Outreach for this church. In this position he traveled extensively on ministry/missionary trips. This broadened his skills as he learned some languages and branched out his skills beyond what he was taught in seminary. He learned minor medicine to provide first aid to the poor, he became streetwise to recognize situations that would be untenable for ministry, and he learned to defend himself and his charges with brain or brawn. He was about bringing to people what they needed, in a form they needed it in. This meant a more worldy approach as opposed to ivory tower approach to ministry. He believes human life is precious but not as great as human soul. If anyone does not respect this sanctity, then they have forfeit their rights to be respected with theirs.
He can be a stern man but his desire is to be a nurturing presence and only when this is exhausted must the rod be applied.
